St. Patricks Day

St. Patricks Day is celebrated annualy on 17th of March, commemoring the death of St. Patricks, the patron of Ireland.

Some of the tipical symbols are:
· Shamrock: It's a kind of grass that its known around the world due to giving luck. It's composed by 3 leafs and a little stem
· Snakes: There aren't any snake o the island due to the separation of it from England before the glaciation, but the tradition says that it was St. Patrick who leet the island without snakes.
· Colour green: It's known around the world that ireland is the 'green country' because of its huge plains of grass. Every year on 17th March, a lot of landmarks of many cities become green for celebrate the festivity

· Celtic cross: It's true employment was for decore churches and other christian places, but the design tell us about the tipical irish sculptures and its way of ornament the figures. This cross is also famous in places like A Coruña, Asturias or part of France
· Leprechauns: This small and cute creatures come from the ancient mithology, and they have the theory of bringing with them a cauldrum with gold. The legend says that if you follow a rainbow and you find the end, you will see a Leprechaun that will give you all the gold
